Hyundai i30 Goes To China

Hyundai today launched the i30 hatchback in China, with the range comprising two different engines. Hyundai's joint venture in China is offering a 1.6- and 2.0-liter engine, both of them optimized for reduced fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.
Lee Hyori, a popular South Korean singer and actress and Wilber Pan, a Taiwanese singer, both attended the launch event which, according to gasgoo.com, took place at the Beijing Science&Technology University.
In China, the i30 will be offered with a price tag of 99,800 yuan ($14,615), with the most expensive version to be priced at 141,800 yuan ($20,700). The company is aiming to sell approximately 40,000 vehicles per year
